Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T Details Emerge

Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T Notebook Details

Slightly ahead of schedule, Acer has announced the Aspire TimelineX 1830T. This ultra-portable laptop is one of several expected to be announced later this month in the TimelineX series. Improving upon its predecessor, the 1830T features a faster processor, better video graphics processing, and longer battery life. We might even call it sexy.

The Aspire TimelineX 1830T features an Intel Core i5-520UM processor capable of 1.86GHz with Intel's Turbo Boost technology, 11.6-inch screen at 1366x768 resolution, integrated graphics with clock speeds between 166MHz and 500MHz, and eight hours of battery life.

Other basic features include: HDMI support, SPDIF support, Gigabit LAN, 802.11b/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth 2.1EDR+ (optional), 3G support (optional), three USB ports, and a multi-card reader.

Did we mention this was an ultra-portable? The guts are contained in only a nearly inch-thick chassis while weighing in at under three pounds.

As for the other laptops in the series, the crew over at Engadget caught wind of the other TimelineX laptops, but the links to those devices appears to have been removed by Acer. Thus, it appears that we will have to wait for more information about the of the TimelineX series.

How much does this sexy ultra-portable notebook cost? No one knows exactly, as Acer has yet to release pricing information. The same is true for availability information.

Now we are left with questions, but hopefully Acer will be giving us the answers soon — as a matter of fact, the answers are planned on coming in the last week of March. So stay tuned!
